Akmonides
Akmonides ( ancient Greek Ἀκμωνίδης Akmōnídēs , German 'son of the anvil ' , Latin Acmonides ) is a Cyclops in Greek mythology and can be equated with Pyrakmon ( 'fiery anvil' ) and Arges ( 'shining lightning' ).
He is a son of the primordial god Uranus and Gaia . According to legend, he lived in the Pelorum and is with his brother Achamas , a blacksmith in the fiery fissures of the Etna volcano in Sicily . He forged the lightning bolts for Zeus to fight the titans . But Zeus did not keep his promise after the victory and banished him again to Tartarus . According to other sources, Akmonides is also a middle name of Uranos himself.
