Aktiebolag
The Aktiebolag ( AB ), the Swedish form of joint-stock company and the only legal form of a limited company in Sweden.
A minimum capital of 50,000 Swedish kroner (around 4,800 euros ) is required to set up a private Aktiebolag and 500,000 Swedish kroner (around 48,000 euros) to found a public limited company . The organs of the Swedish stock corporation are the general assembly (Bolagsstämma) and the board of directors (Styrelse).
The Aktiebolag is also used by small and medium-sized companies , as Swedish law does not recognize a limited liability company for domestic purposes .
