Actinomycetes , also actinomycetes (Greek ακτινομύκητες aktinomýkētes , " ray mushrooms ", from ἀκτίς aktís "ray" and μύκης mýkēs "mushroom") stands for:

  • Actinomyces , a biological genus that includes a large number of species of bacteria
  • Actinomycetaceae , a biological family that includes other genera in addition to the genus Actinomyces
  • more rarely Actinomycetales , a biological order that includes other families in addition to the Actinomycetaceae family
