Action program 2015

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2015 action program was a political program developed in 2004 to implement international community goals. The Federal Republic of Germany had undertaken to contribute to the realization of the Millennium Development Goals that were negotiated in Johannesburg in 2002. The program was cross-departmental.

The Federal Government's 2015 Action Program contained 5 strategic goals:

  • Anchoring poverty reduction as an international joint task and as a task of the entire federal government
  • Establishing coherence between relevant domestic and multilateral policy areas with regard to poverty reduction
  • Forming new alliances for development
  • Impact orientation of development cooperation

It contained ten starting points for the implementation of the program:

  1. Increase economic dynamism and the active participation of the poor
  2. Realize the right to food and implement agricultural reforms
  3. Create fair trade opportunities for developing countries
  4. Reduce debt and finance development
  5. Guarantee basic social services and strengthen social security
  6. Secure access to vital resources and promote an intact environment
  7. Realize human rights and respect core labor standards
  8. Promote gender equality
  9. Ensure the participation of the poor in social, political and economic life and strengthen good governance
  10. Resolving conflicts peacefully and promoting human security and disarmament

After the 2015 action program was mentioned in the coalition agreement of the CDU / CSU and SPD from 2005, it was no longer pursued in the government work of the "grand coalition" and gradually disappeared from the public eye. The 2015 action program was never officially ended.
