Active (newspaper)

Aktiv (spelling: ACTIVE until March 2019 , active since then ) is a market economy-oriented business newspaper that specializes in providing information to employees from the employer's perspective.

The newspaper appears every four weeks in twelve branch and regional editions. The total circulation, which is regularly distributed, is around 700,000 copies. The magazine Märkisch Aktiv appears in North Rhine-Westphalia as sister papers of the same editorial team and the magazine Aktiv im Norden appears in Northern Germany with a total circulation of around 50,000 copies.

The newspaper has been published in Cologne since 1972 and has appeared since 2009 in the Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft Köln Medien GmbH in the association of the Institut der Deutschen Wirtschaft Cologne . The publisher is Axel Rhein , editor-in-chief Thomas Goldau .

It is supported and financed by employers' associations and companies from various sectors in the Federal Republic of Germany, with a focus on the metal and electrical industry, the chemical industry, the textile industry, paper processing and others. The newspaper is delivered to employees in contract data processing for the companies.
