Aurora FC is a traditional Guatemalan football club from the capital Guatemala City .
The association, which is subordinate to the army , was founded on April 14, 1945 under the name Aurora de la Guardia de Honor . In 1946 it was given its current name. Aurora has won the national championship and the Guatemalan Cup several times. In 1976 and 1979 the UNCAF Club Tournament could also be won. In 2005, the club rose from the Liga Mayor after 58 years of membership .
Aurora plays in vertically black and yellow striped jerseys with black shorts.
Stadion
The Aurora team plays its home games at the Estadio Del Ejército . The pure football stadium was built in 1950. It offers 12,453 seats.
