Al-Masdar News ( AMN for short ) is an Arabic online news portal that was founded by Leith Abou Fadel in August 2014 and represents the viewpoint of the Syrian government. The focus of the reporting is on conflict zones in the Middle East such as Syria , Yemen or Iraq .

According to the BBC and Newsweek, the website would represent an opinion close to the Syrian government and, according to the newspaper The Independent, sympathize with the Syrian regime. The New York Times described it as a "pro-government website". Leonid Bershidsky also called her "sort of pro- Assad " in Bloomberg News .
