Location of the canton in the province of San José

Alajuelita is a canton in the province of San José in Costa Rica with 85,047 inhabitants. The capital is Alajuelita . The canton is divided into the five districts of Alajuelita, San Josecito , San Antonio , Concepción and San Felipe .

The canton is mountainous. The highest point is the Cerro Rabo de Mico with a height of 2428 m.
