The Alakır Dam ( Turkish Alakır Barajı ) is located 7 km north of Kumluca on Alakır Çayı in the southern Turkish province of Antalya .
The Alakır Dam was built in 1967-1971 for the purpose of flood protection and irrigation . The barrier structure is a 44.5 m (above the valley floor) high stone embankment dam . The dam volume is 1.6 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of 3.2 km² and has a storage volume of 40 million m³. The dam is designed for the irrigation of an area of 6752 ha.
