Alarm converter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An alarm converter is used to ensure that members of the non-police authorities and organizations with security tasks ( fire brigade , THW , rescue service ) are alerted in areas with poor radio coverage (radio hole ) .

The control center triggers the radio alarm receivers (FME) of the emergency services, the alarm converter receives the 5-tone sequence and transmits it again with a time delay in the community area. This ensures that the emergency services who are in a poorly supplied radio area are informed of the alarm.

Alarm converters for alerting digital receivers are called digital alarm converters .
