The Albini Braendlin rifle was a single -shot rifle that was developed by Albini and Braendlin on behalf of the Belgian government and introduced in Belgium in 1867 as an orderly weapon .

description

It is a single loader for center fire cartridges of caliber 11 millimeters. The breech consists of a breech block, which also contains the firing pin and which is folded up for loading. The cartridge is inserted into the chamber by hand. When closing, the breech block pushes the cartridge into the chamber and fixes it there. Then the cock is cocked manually. When the trigger is actuated , it strikes a pin, which in turn strikes the spring-loaded firing pin and at the same time locks the breech block. After the shot has been fired, the breech block is again folded up and forward, whereupon two claws on the left and right of the breech block pull the case out of the chamber. The weapon can now be reloaded. During a demonstration of the weapon, Braedlin fired twelve rounds in one minute and 31 seconds without interference.
