Alejandro Schaikis

Alejandro Schaikis (* in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine violinist.

Schaikis studied in his hometown with Ljerko Spiller , Symsia Bajour , Sergio Hualpa and Fernando Hasaj and received several scholarships from the Asociación Camping Musical Bariloche . He became a member of the Orquesta Juvenil de Radio Nacional LRA and played in the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires.

From 1982 Schaikis was the soloist of the Orquesta de Cámara Mayo , to which he belonged for 21 years. He took part in the orchestra's recordings and took part in concert tours through Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the USA, Switzerland and Holland. 1985-86 he gave a series of weekly chamber music concerts organized by the Centro de Divulgación Musical . In 1997 he completed his training as a scholarship holder at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Gstaad with Alberto Lysy and took part in a concert tour through Europe.

From 1992 Schaikis was concert master of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Argentina . As a member of the sextet Vale Tango , directed by Andrés Linetzky , he recorded the albums Danza Maligna and Músicas de Noche in 2002 . In 2003 he took part in the Buenos Aires II Festival in Paris. As a member of the Tango x2 Company under the direction of the choreographer Miguel A. Zotto, he participated in the show Tangos de la cruz del sur . He is also a member of the Color Tango orchestra directed by Roberto Alvarez .
