Alexander Ivanovich Bobenko

Alexander Ivanovich Bobenko ( Russian Александр Иванович Бобенко ; * 1960 ) is a Russian mathematician who deals with mathematical physics ( integrable systems ), (discrete) differential geometry and Riemann surfaces .

Bobenko received his doctorate in 1985 at the Steklow Institute in Leningrad under Vladimir Borissowitsch Matveev (Matveev) and Alexander Rudolfowitsch Its ( Explicit integration of nonlinear equations using the inverse scattering transformation method with spectral parameters on elliptic curves ). He has been a professor at the TU Berlin since the mid-1990s .
