Alexander Rathenau

Alexander Rathenau (* 1977 in Filderstadt ) is a German lawyer and admitted to the bar in Germany and Portugal as well as honorary consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lagos , Portugal .

Life

Rathenau studied law at the law faculty of the University of Trier and passed the first state examination in 2003 at the Rhineland-Palatinate Judicial Examination Office; The second state examination followed in 2006.

From May 2000 to March 2003 he worked at the chair for civil law, international private law and comparative law, Bernd von Hoffmann, at the University of Trier .

In 2007 Alexander Rathenau received his doctorate with a thesis on "The application of the Brussels Convention by Portuguese courts taking into account the autonomous international civil procedure law".

Rathenau works as a lawyer in Portugal and has been licensed to practice both German and Portuguese since 2011.

Since March 31, 2017 he has been Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lagos, Portugal.
