The Cheshire Rock is a reef rock in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 160 m southeast of Passage Rock in the English Strait, 1 m above sea level.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on November 3, 1971 after Lieutenant Commander Peter John Edward Cheshire (* 1935), head of a hydrographic surveying unit of the Royal Navy , which surveyed the area in 1967.
