Alexandra Wilhelmine Busch (born July 8, 1975 in Neuss ) is a German provincial Roman archaeologist .

From 1995 she studied archeology of the Roman provinces, ancient history and prehistory and early history at the University of Cologne , where she received her doctorate in 2004. In 2005/06 she received half a travel grant from the German Archaeological Institute . From 2006 to 2008 she was initially a scientific volunteer, then a scientific consultant at the LVR Archaeological Park in Xanten . From 2008 to 2014 she worked at the German Archaeological Institute, Rome Department, first as a general speaker, then as head of the photo library.

Since May 2014, Busch has been director of collections, library, archives and IT as well as head of the competence area Roman archeology at the Roman-Germanic Central Museum (RGZM) in Mainz. Since October 1, 2018, she has been Director General of the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum.
