Alfredo Ortiz Mancia was a Salvadoran lawyer and politician.

Career

Ortiz Mancia holds a doctorate in law and is an internationally recognized lawyer. He was the Dean of the Economics Faculty of the Autonomous University of Salvador . From September 1956 to 1960 he was Foreign Minister of El Salvador.

In February 1986 he was the victim of a series of kidnappings of wealthy celebrities and released after paying a ransom.
