Alhagie H. Sowe worked for Gambia Radio & Television Service before starting his political career . Sowe ran in the 2017 parliamentary elections as a candidate for the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) in the Jimara constituency in the Basse Administrative Area . With 35.89%, he was able to win the constituency in front of Haruna Drammeh (UDP) and Habiboulie K. Jawo (APRC).
