Kasum Jallow stood in the 2012 parliamentary elections as a candidate for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the Jimara constituency in the Basse Administrative Area . Since there was no opposing candidate from the opposition, he was able to win the constituency for himself. For the 2017 parliamentary elections , Jawo ran again in the same constituency. With 5.89% he could not hold the constituency, he lost it to Alhagie H. Sowe (GDC).
