Andreas Narr (born December 21, 1963 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .
Athletic career
Andreas Narr, who played five times in the GDR junior national team between April 1981 and May 1982 , initially made a name for himself in the youth department of SG Dynamo Dresden throughout the country . With the U-18 he took part in the youth competitions of friendship in 1981 and took 7th place with the team in the ČSSR . In 1983 the goalkeeper made the leap from the Dynamos junior league team to the first team of the black and yellow. However , the goalkeeper never played in a league game for the league team of the GDR champions , who had been six times at the time, and only came into play in friendly matches.
With the SGD reserve eleven, he was promoted to the league at the end of the 1983/84 season , after which the team around coaches Siegfried Gumz and Wolfgang Haustein were able to prevail in the promotion round of all third division champions after the Dresden district league title. In the summer of 1985 Andreas Narr went from the second team of the Dresden Dynamos to the BSG Sachsenring Zwickau . Up until his delegation to SG Dynamo, he had played in the youth team there from 1974 to 1977. The goalkeeper played all nine league games of his career in the 1985/86 season , after which the Zwickau team had to make their way to the second division. The goalkeeper made his debut in the top division of GDR football on August 17, 1985 in a 3-1 home win over FC Vorwärts Frankfurt / Oder . In the second half of the season, Wolfgang Benkert, brought in by FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, pushed him to the reserve bench of the Sachsenring-Elf coached by Zwickau goalkeeper idol Jürgen Croy .
In October 1986, the machine and system fitter, who in April 1984 also stood in goal against Poland in the GDR U21 team , moved from BSG Sachsenring Zwickau to 1. FC Magdeburg , while striker Jens Heineccius went the opposite way. In the game of the 8th game day of the 1986/87 season he sat on the bench for the Elbestädtern against BSG progress Bischofswerda for the first time, but was not used until the end of independent East German football behind regular goalkeeper Dirk Heyne . After the reunification of Germany and Heyne's departure, Narr was in goal at FCM until 1997 in the third and fourth division in 45 point games.
