Jens Heineccius (born January 4, 1966 ) was a first and second division football player for 1. FC Magdeburg and Sachsenring / FSV Zwickau . In Zwickau he played both in the GDR Oberliga and in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Athletic career

When a junior football league in GDR football was started for the second time since the 1960s in the 1983/84 season , the 1. FC Magdeburg squad also included 17-year-old Jens Heineccius. At the end of this season he won the Young World Cup with the Magdeburg Juniors . When he obtained the eligibility to play for the men's area the following summer, Heineccius moved into the squad of the second team of the FCM, which played in the third-class district league. In the same season Heineccius came to his first assignment in the GDR league. On the 24th match day, May 11, 1985, the regular right winger Damian Halata could not be called up: Heineccius was used for him, but only played for an hour before he was replaced by Reinhard Rother . It remained for him in this first division at 1. FC Magdeburg.

In October 1986, Heineccius left Magdeburg and joined the BSG Sachsenring Zwickau, which had been relegated from the league in the summer and in return gave goalkeeper Andreas Narr to the FCM. For two years he played with the Zwickauers in the second-rate GDR league . In the 1987/88 season Sachsenring managed to return to the league, Heineccius as a 1.78 m tall midfielder had been an important pillar of the team with 31 of 34 points players. But even in Zwickau, the league air was too thin for Heineccius. He was only used eleven times, only in six matches did he play the full distance. At the end of the 1988/89 season Sachsenring Zwickau rose again, it was also the end of the first division games for Heineccius. However, he stayed in Zwickau, saw the founding of the FSV Zwickau after German reunification and in 1994 the promotion of his team to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2nd Bundesliga, Heineccius played 13 games, all of which he played in the row. At the end of the game year, he quit competitive football at the age of 29.

Until the summer of 2001, Heineccius played for the district division Reichenbacher FC , then he finally said goodbye to active football. Occasionally he also competed for the old men team of FSV Zwickau.
