On a school trip to the Telegrafenberg in Potsdam , Alice runs after a white rabbit - and slides into the ventilation shaft of the supercomputer at a climate research institute. This is followed by a journey through the virtual world of computer models, from the tropical rainforest to the silent ice of the Antarctic .

The story begins with small arithmetic steps in the snow, culminates in a chaotic climate congress that mutates into a court case, and even leads to prison, where luckily gravitational physics provides a liberating formula at the right time.
