Alicja Patey-Grabowska
Alicja Patey-Grabowska-Steffen (* 1937 in Warsaw ) is a Polish poet, children's book author, translator and literary critic.
The trained philologist made her debut as a poet in 1961 and has since published the volumes of poetry Z Kręgu , Adam - Ewa , Drzewo od wewnątrz , Rana ziemi , Oto ja - kobieta , Zwierzę czasu and Opowiedz miłość . She edited two anthologies of Polish poetry: Ja i Ty and W imię miłości (poems from the 18th century). With Stefan Melak she published poems about the Katyn massacre under the title Krzyk o świcie . In 1995 she published two plays under the title Mur . Patey-Grabowska also wrote nine children's books. In 1998 she was awarded the Poetry Prize of the Polish Ministry of Culture.
