The Almanaque Abril , formerly Almanaque Brasil , was a Portuguese-language yearbook ( Almanac ) published from 1974 to 2015 by the Brazilian Grupo Abril or the Editora Abril in São Paulo .

While the Almanaque originally claimed in its subtitle to be an entire "encyclopedia in just one volume" (A enciclopédia em um só volume) , two yearbooks were published from 2000 onwards - an Almanaque Abril (Brazil) and an Almanaque Abril (Mundo) . The Almanaque was also published as a multimedia encyclopedia on CD-ROM.

The Almanaque contained, besides a review of events for the year in Brazil and in the rest of the world and background reports, dossiers, analyzes, maps, graphs, etc. to developments in the economy, politics and culture as well as statistical and historical data, facts and information on all countries of the world. On an international scale, the Almanaque was thus comparable to the English-language The World Almanac and Book of Facts (and its Spanish version, the Almanaque Mundial ) and the German-language Fischer Weltalmanach , on the Brazilian or Portuguese-language scale with the 1980–1989 from the Editora Terceiro Mundo Guia do Terceiro Mundo published in Rio de Janeiro .
