Almantas Blažys
Almantas Blažys (born August 23, 1964 in Pandėlys near Rokiškis ) is a Lithuanian politician, from 2008 to 2011 mayor of the Rokiškis district .
Life
After graduating from secondary school, Blažys graduated from Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija in 1985 with a degree in engineering . From 1990 to 1995 he was a deputy in the council of Rokiškis district. Since 1995 he has been a member of the council of the Rajonggemeinde. From 1997 to 2000 and from 2008 to 2011 he was mayor of the Rokiškis district. Since 2000 he has been working as a labor inspector at Valstybinė darbo inspekcija , Panevėžys department .
Blažys has been a member of Tėvynės sąjunga (Lietuvos konservatoriai) since 1993 .
Blažys is married. He and Mrs. Alma have a son Augustina and a daughter Giedrė.
