Almyra
Almyra ( Greek Αλμύρα ( f. Sg. )) Is a beach and a bay on the southern edge of the fishing village of Vathy on the west coast of the Methana peninsula in Greece . In front of this bay are the remains of the ancient city of Methana , which sank in the sea on Methana following the historic volcanic eruption (around 230 BC). About 150 m northeast of the bay rises the small volcanic dome with the remains of the Paleokastro , the ancient acropolis of Methana.
