Aloger
The Alogos (from Gr. A-logos, un-reason, the unreasonable ) were an early Christian sect that appeared in Asia Minor , probably also in Rome , towards the end of the 2nd century .
The followers of the Alogians saw in Jesus Christ a naturally created human being, but who could be called the Son of God because of his perfect moral development. According to Epiphanius (Panarion 51) they are the forerunners of the similarly thinking monarchians . Since they rejected the writings of John , especially his doctrine of the Logos , Epiphanius called them Aloger . Because the word logos in Greek also denotes "reason", their opponents also interpreted the term as "the unreasonable".
