AltaRoma
The AltaRoma is an annual fashion show in Rome . The events take place for one week in January and July. Known for years under the title AltaModa , it was only renamed AltaRoma by the organizer in 2002. It is considered the most important fashion show in Italy and a major social event.
The highlight and conclusion of the AltaRoma in July is the traditional gala “Donna sotto le stelle” (“Woman under the stars”), which took place again on the Spanish Steps on July 18 after a two-year break . From 2011 the event will be moved to other places in Rome.
