Old Jewish Cemetery (Brüggen)

The old Jewish cemetery Brüggen is located in the central part of the municipality Brüggen in the district of Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

There are still five tombstones ( mazewot ) in the Jewish cemetery on Hochstrasse . Based on the grave inscriptions, the last burial took place in 1851.

The burial site is one of the material remains of the Jewish community in Brüggen. It is significant for the local history of Bruges. The successor to the cemetery is the New Jewish Cemetery .
