Old Jewish cemetery (Meinerzhagen)
The Old Jewish Cemetery was the first burial place for Jews in the Sauerland town of Meinerzhagen .
The Jewish cemetery was 300 m² and was located on the Schwarzenberg. Gravestones ( mazewot ) are no longer there.
history
The cemetery was occupied from around 1813 to 1913. The property belonging to Meyer Stern in 1830 became the property of the Meinerzhagen Jewish community in 1843. Because of the difficult accessibility, the community acquired the land for the new cemetery in 1910 .
