The house with the postal address Am Querkanal 5 is a listed building in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund in the street Am Querkanal . Together with the houses at Am Querkanal 4 and Am Querkanal 6, it forms a building complex that represents the southern end of the development on the northern harbor island.

The three and a half story house was built in 1877. The facade is structured and banded with red and yellow brick .

The house is located on the outskirts of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered with the number 28 in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund .
