Amathusa
Amathusa ( ancient Greek Ἀμάθουσα ) is a person from Greek mythology .
She appears in the late antique grammarian Stephanos of Byzantium as the mother of Kinyras and as the eponymous heroine of the city of Amathous in Cyprus . Alternatively, Amathes , a son of Heracles , is named as the eponymous founder of the city .
