America's Carriers Telecommunication Association

The America's Carriers Telecommunication Association (ACTA) was an association of 160 small telephone companies in the United States. After several mergers and name changes, ACTA has now merged into the lobby organization INCOMPAS , based in Washington, DC.

The ACTA came in March 1996 in the media than in the FCC a review was requested by the producers of Internet telephony - Software and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and carriers should be treated.
