American College of Surgeons

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) is a Chicago -based US surgical society founded in 1913. Members may add FACS ( Fellow, American College of Surgeons ) after their name . With around 78,000 members, including 4,000 in other countries, the ACS claims to be the largest surgical society in the world.

The official publication medium is the Journal of the American College of Surgeons .
