The American Journal of Agricultural Economics (AJAE) is a monthly scientific journal on agricultural economics. It is one of two association journals of the American association Agricultural & Applied Economics Association and began work in 1919 as the Journal of Farm Economics . The focus of the published articles is on, in addition to agricultural economics , resource economics , environmental economics and rural development .

Editors

The journal is led by editors Timothy Beatty , Terrance Hurley , Travis Lybbert and Timothy Richards . They are assisted by a number of Associate Editors and Bailey Norwood as editor of book reviews.

reception

A study by the French economists Pierre-Phillippe Combes and Laurent Linnemer ranks the journal in the third best category A, ranking it 41st out of 600 economic journals.

The American Journal of Agricultural Economics claims to have an impact factor of 2,457.
