Amerlügen is a district in the market town of Frastanz in Walgau in Vorarlberg .

The village is 760  m above sea level. A. below the three sisters .

In 2015 Amerlügen had around 225 inhabitants and consisted of 65 houses. The Chapel of the Sacrifice of the Virgin Mary is also located in this district.

From 1910 to 2012 the Feldkirch – Amerlügen holiday colony served as a rest home for children and young people - first from Feldkirch, then from all over Austria. After 102 years, the holiday home had to be closed because the bookings no longer covered the costs.

In Amerlügen (e.g. from Sturnabühel ) and von der Bazora ( ), take-offs with gliders were carried out from 1935 and after the Second World War . The starting places had been officially approved since 1935. World iconWorld icon
