Amlin Corporate Insurance
Amlin Corporate Insurance NV is a Dutch specialty insurer , which until July 2009 belonged directly to the Dutch state as Fortis Corporate Insurance (FCI) after the collapse of the Fortis Group . The latter sold FCI to the British insurance company Amlin .
FCI emerged in 1999 from the merger of the Dutch AMEV Interlloyd and the Belgian AG Groep . As part of the financial crisis , the Fortis Group itself ran into massive difficulties from mid-September 2008. On October 4, 2008, the Dutch part of the Fortis Group (ABN AMRO, Fortis Bank Nederland Holding NV, Fortis Insurance Netherlands NV) was taken over 100 percent by the Netherlands for 16.8 billion euros.
Amlin Corporate Insurance (ACI) is a property insurer for medium-sized and large companies and operates as a reinsurer .
