Amphibious

As amphibious (Greek amphi “both”, “double”, bios “life”) is the term used for living beings that live both in water and on land .

The term is also used for insects (juvenile aquatic forms, e.g. mayflies ) and marsh plants .

Derived from this, the term amphibious is used to characterize vehicles (" amphibious vehicle "), warfare and in other cases to show that the term described relates to both water and land (amphibious habitat, amphibious way of life).
