The Amr ibn Auf ( Arabic بنو عمرو بن عوف, DMG Banū ʿAmr b. ʿAwf ) were an Arab tribe of Yathribs (Medina) in the time of Muhammad . They belonged to the tribal group of the Banu Aus , who joined in the homage to Aqaba Mohammed and thus made his hijra possible.
