Ana Isabel Alós López (born May 11, 1969 in Huesca ) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Popular .

Career

Alós studied economics at the University of Zaragoza , then completed a master's degree in business management at the ICADE of the Pontifical University of Comillas . First she worked in the municipal administration of Canal de Berdún before she worked as a management consultant and later founded various companies.

Since 2003 she has been on the Huesca City Council . In the local elections in 2011, the PP list she led became the largest parliamentary group, and she was subsequently elected mayor of the city. In the election four years later, the PP remained the largest parliamentary group, but lost the majority and its predecessor Luis Felipe Serrate returned to the top of the city as a PSOE candidate.

Although the PP suffered massive losses in the 2015 parliamentary elections , Alós was elected as a member of the Congreso de los Diputados . She retained her mandate in the 2016 parliamentary elections , which were prematurely scheduled after the failed government formation.
