Dawn stands for:

  • a temporal definition in the sense of the beginning , for example an age or a time of day (daybreak)
  • opening a filled and closed container for the first time (e.g. with food)
  • the usual designation in mining for the location at which a deposit is found, especially an exposed ore vein
  • Wood that has become rotten and no longer stable, see Anbruch (forestry)
  • the short title of an Austrian music magazine, see Musikblätter des Anbruch
  • a bone fracture
