André "Dré" Hazes (born January 21, 1994 ) is a Dutch singer.
Life
Hazes was born as the second child of the popular singer André Hazes and his wife Rachel Hazes-van Galen . He grew up together with his older sister, the singer Roxeanne Hazes , in the village of Vinkeveen . He first appeared in the public eye during the funeral service for his father, who died on September 23, 2004. During the ceremony, which took place four days after his death in front of 48,000 spectators in the Amsterdam Arena and a further six million spectators in front of the television, ten-year-old Dré Hazes gave the farewell speech.
Three years later he recorded the song Bedankt Mijn Vriend for the TV documentary In Duet Met Hazes , which his father originally wrote and recorded in 1988. During the new recording, the original tracks with the voice of André Hazes were mixed with the sequences sung by his son. After its release, the single reached number 1 on the Dutch Top 40 charts in October 2007 . In the wake of this success, Dré Hazes recorded his debut album Samen met Dré , which only contains duets with other artists. It also reached number 1 in the Dutch charts.
