Andrea Roventini

Andrea Roventini (born April 16, 1977 in Mirandola ) is an Italian economist . He is a professor at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna .

He has u. a. worked on macroeconomic issues and on agent-based computational economics.

He was presented by the MoVimento 5 Stelle (M5S) party on March 1, 2018, three days before the parliamentary elections , as a candidate for the post of Italian Minister of Economy .

M5S and Lega Nord began coalition negotiations on May 9 and presented a coalition agreement on May 18, 2018. The favorite for the office of prime minister was the law professor Giuseppe Conte , who took office on June 1, 2018; Roventini was seen as a possible alternative.
