Angel d'Or is a Mallorcan orange liqueur from the Sóller valley with an alcohol content of 28 percent by  volume .

origin

The oranges that are used for the liqueur are grown in the Sóller Valley in Mallorca, a traditional orange-growing area. Oranges have been grown here for centuries and thrive in the mild Mallorcan climate. With the Port de Sóller district, Sóller has direct access to the Mediterranean Sea .

Manufacturing

The main components of the Angel d'Or recipe are orange and orange peel distillates. For this purpose, the oranges are washed and peeled thinly on site in the Can Det oil mill . The orange peel is then transported to Rinteln for maceration . The flavor-determining mixing and filling takes place in Mallorca at Licoristas Reunidos Mallorquines SL .

Only oranges from the Sóller valley are used for the production of Angel d'Or, the Canoneta variety is the flavor . The liqueur has been available on the European market since 2006.

Naming

Angel d'Or owes its name to the golden angel on the central church in Sóller.
