Anna Maria Bauer (painter)

Anna Maria Bauer (* 1956 in Warsaw ) is a Polish painter.

Bauer studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Jerzy Tchórzewski , Andrzej Rudziński and Zbigniew Gostomski . She is the author of several books illustrated with gouaches and drawings ( Strumienność , 1986; Człowiek-Góra , 1987; Pożegnanie Anioła , 1996) and has also worked as an installation and performance artist. Since the 1980s she has had solo exhibitions in Warsaw, Krakow and Zakopane, among others. Her works can be found in the collections of the National Museum, the National Gallery, the Center for Contemporary Art and the Museum of Literature in Warsaw, the National Museum in Wroclaw, the District Museum in Bydgoszcz and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Radom.
