Acceptance deadline
Acceptance deadline (in some contexts also cut-off ) basically refers to a date that limits the acceptance of an object, document , order or similar.
Deadline areas
- In logistics, the acceptance deadline describes the point in time at which an order or goods must be with a logistician in order to be able to deliver them within a defined period of time.
- The same applies, for example, in factories before the company holidays . Many companies announce an acceptance deadline for upcoming company holidays. Orders received after this deadline will no longer be executed before the start of the company holidays; a delay by the length of the company holidays must accordingly be taken into account for the client .
- In banking there is also the concept of the cut-off time, often referred to here as the cut-off. Orders for the bank that are only valid for the current day must be submitted to the institution before the acceptance deadline. Otherwise they will be rejected.
- In public acceptance points for the Lotto and Toto games of chance and betting, there are binding times for the acceptance deadline for tickets .
- Newspapers and magazines, like the University Admissions Foundation, announce the deadline for advertisements and applicants.
