Anpan

Anpan ( Japanese 餡 パ ン ) is a Japanese white bread that is filled with anko ( adzuki bean paste ). It's a popular snack, especially among children.

An ( Anko ) stands for the paste made from adzuki beans . The word pan originally comes from the Portuguese word pão and means bread.
