Local letter procedure

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The local clearance procedure is a simplified procedure for submitting a customs declaration .

In Germany this procedure is regulated in Art. 76 Customs Code , Art. 253 ff. ZK-DVO. This simplified procedure enables the transfer of goods to a customs procedure (e.g. release for free circulation, export, procedures with economic significance) in the business premises of the customs party or at other locations approved by the customs offices. As a result, the place of presentation of the goods to be declared is shifted from the office of the clearance customs office to the person involved. The parties involved register the goods using a so-called entry in the bookkeeping.
