An accusation is used both colloquially for an infamy , accusation, insinuation, accusation or accusation and also expressly as a legal term.

The accusation exists only in the Defense Disciplinary Code ( Section 99 WDO) and in the professional code for tax advisors ( Section 118 (1) StBerG ), lawyers and patent attorneys ( Section 131 (1) BRAO and Section 116 (1) PAO ). As part of the allegation, misconduct by the named professional groups is checked in a formal process.

Legally, the accusation must be distinguished from an accusation in criminal proceedings .
