Antanas Rekašius

Antanas Rekašius (born July 24, 1928 in Pavandenė , Telšiai district , Lithuania ; † October 9, 2003 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian composer.

Life

Rekašius studied at the Lithuanian State Conservatory with Julius Juzeliūnas and taught composition at the Juozas Gruodis Music School . He composed nine symphonies, a sinfonietta, an orchestral concerto, a concerto for two pianos, a saxophone and a flute concerto, an opera oratorio, ballets, chamber and vocal music.
